Location: Omaha, NE | When did Ovation start debossing the serial numbers on the back of the headstock? Any idea what year of guitar this is?
Who did the carving on the bridges for those? Was that hand done, or were there "carving machines" back in the early 1970's?

Location: Paris/France | It's surely a 1619-1 Custom legend with rod cover from the mid/late 70's (according the preamp).
I'm not sure but the serial number behind the head has appeared in 1994 or 1995.

Location: New York State | That's cool. I like the black ones best. The first Ovation I had was an early 80's Custom Balladeer in black, but no fancy carvings.
