It has 24 frets and yes it is RED. I should have it by next week. It is a Les Paul double cut. Now I have 3 electrics. |

You could've gotten an Ibanez RGA 121, or a Hamer Sunburst SATQ, or even a Fender American Series Tele, or a whole host of others. Just curious. |

Location: Avondale, AZ | That was the simple answer. I find this guitar estetically pleasing (very beautiful). It has a slim fast neck with 24 frets and a 17 degree tilt that makes it even funner to play than my viper. For me to say that about any guitar means alot. It has some great pickups that provide a wide array of tones. It is also heavy which to me is a must in a solidbody. |

Location: Avondale, AZ | an4340, I looked up the Ibanez RGA121. I could have gotten 2 of those for the price of this. It just isn't my style of guitar. It looks like the pointed end that holds the strap is so thin it might break. It is really design for heavy metal, which I don't play. The Hamers do look competative to this. I never held nor played one though. However I fell for this guitar and had to have it. |

Location: Tennessee | OLJ, that guitar is very similar to my Hamer Mirage II. Red transparent, double cutaway, carved maple top, mahogany body, humbuckers, and a sweet neck. The differences are dots vs. trapazoids, trem vs. fixed bridge, chrome vs. gold. You're gonna love that guitar ... you would love the Hamer, too. Congrats. |

But there are so many other guitars out there to try. Don't let the description of the Ibanez fool you, they push it as a metal instrument, but the reality is it's better than a Gibson. If you look at it, 24.75 scale, dual humbuckers, mahogany body, maple top ... try it you'll like it.
I know how it is though, GAS attacks and that's it.
I always like looking at guitars that are slightly different, that give value for $, I suppose that's why I wound up loving Adamas and ovations. Something different, or bought used, always has a more interesting story. |

Location: Avondale, AZ | The guitar arrived 3 days ago. It is going back. There a 24 frets but there might as well have been only 12. The action is too high. I adjusted it to were it is closer to my range( still can't get it perfect) and now there are dead spots up and down the neck. The guitar is chambered for some dumb reason. So this is nowhere like a Les Paul standard in weight nor feel. I hate it. |

Location: Indiana | I agree with the other posts here. Gibson are fine guitars (I have several),but there others that are also fine guitars. I have a 78 Hamer Sunburst that is great. Also check out Heritage and PRS. Great guitars don't have to say "Gibson" on them.

Location: Cicero, NY | I would agree as well. Though not a "notorious send-it-backer", I have for the very reason Brad stated. I've played what I thought was a beautiful, well made and superior sounding guitar that I saw "less expensive" online - got it and it was obviously made on Friday afternoon after the (liquid) lunch break. Back it went. Went to my local GC, negotiated that one down a hair and went home with a great guitar.
Good money should pay for a good guitar and there are lemons in any industry. And that's fine - as long as I don't end up with it. ;)

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | My local GC will match ANY Price as long as they can verify it. I have even carried in "special low price" only available through an email request (printed out the email) and they have honored it.
Just find the guitar you want online, print it out and then find one at the local GC that talks to you and then whip out the paperwork for the price match! |
