Location: San Marcos, CA | Hey, my name is Thomas. I'm a new fan of Ovations. I was recently given an older Celebrity from a dear friend of mine. I've tried guitars before (as well as other instruments), but I've never felt the spark I felt when I first held this guitar. I have a new love of my life, second only to my wife and kids.
Now I'm taking guitar lessons at the local college. I can't read or play, but I'm learning, and having a blast doing it. I just wish I was 12 year younger. lol |

SWEET! maybe when I get better, we can jam.
And yeah, my fingers are just getting over the pain stage, and into the calous stage. Unfortunately, I can't grow my fingernails out, I have paper-thin nails that tear when they get too long. The tear usually gets into the quick. So I have to keep them short.
I had a girlfriend who used a nail strengthener, but it was too ... obvious. I'm not into lookin' all purty. |

I do have a question. The guy who owned the guitar (I call her Celest btw) before me scratched the hell out of the surfece. He is more of an ameture than even I am. he didn't use a pick guard and hammerd it nearly to death. What is the best way to buff those out? Do I need to have her fully resurfaced?
If so, is there a way I can do it myself. I'm low on moolah, and can't afford a professional.
I know, "very carefully"; I've heard that one, but I thought I'd ask. |
