Hello all, I've had my Ovation for a long time, 25-30 years? I don't see a serial #, where is that located? Is there a label in the bowl and mine is missing? The tuners are Kluson Deluxe. There are fret markers on the top side of the fret board. On the fret board itself there are dots on the 3rd, 7th, and 17th frets, diamonds on the 5th, 9th, and 15th frets. And a dot with 2 diamonds on the 12 fret. No cut-away with 14 frets outside the body. The sound hole is a leaf pattern. Any info or comments would be appreciated. I have pictures but no web site show them on. I can email them if anyone wants a look. Thanks!

Welcome to the Bored, Joxter! If you'd like to show some pics, just look to the left, go into Member Access and set up a photo gallery where you can upload a shot (or more if you have them). Then, let us know when they're there and I'm sure someone here can help you identify your guitar.

Can't fool me. That's one of those reissues on Al's rug, right? ;)

Seriously, nice one!

Got to love these old ones. I just brouight #36 back to life, it had spent 30+ years in the basement, I never knew it was there. The top is nice and flat and it sounds great. I'll get Cliff to post pictures when I see him next.

We don't have basements in California. Sounds like we're missing out big time. You can always ship your basement out here if you get tired of it.

Basement is just like an attic, but damper.
It has rats instead of bats.
And there are more workshops in basements than attics.

fillhixx, Your Custom Balladeer should have a whole lot more diamonds than dots on the fretboard!!
