Thanks all,

I've never even seen a slothead before, let alone played one. The Mrs's said she had seen the pictures of StandingOvation's on the OvationGallery website and fell in love with it. Somehow, she got this out of the store between my weekly visits and kept it hidden away for the last month.

Geez, do I get some kick-back here? She made a wise choice. Let us know how you like it after playing for awhile. And wipe that S-E grin off your face. You're making the rest of us feel really jealous!

Hey Tim,

I know you're happy, but put those knees together - it's a family show!

Congratulations, Merry Christmas, and thanks for the work you do.

Man, my Christmas surprise came Christmas Eve. I spent the last six weeks busting my hump gutting and completely refinishing the finished basement (gah, wimmin). There's a fireplace down there. A wood burning fireplace. Mmmm. Way nicer than that crappy gas log upstairs. I built a fire at 9p on Christmas Eve. There was negative pressure in the flue for some strange reason so most of the smoke backed into the basement. Some surprise. Mrs. Cruster was less than impressed.

Congrats on the guitar and amp, Tim. Looks like a nice collection you have going!

No, Santa wasn't in the chimney at the time...way to early. You have to love those moments when your 16yo son looks at you and says, 'Didn't make it far in Boy Scouts, huh?' grrrr

Door is always open, come teach me some songs :D

Oh, I'm also finding that the wider neck on the slothead is much easier on my big fingers...really liking this guitar

Although Mrs. MIB isn't into this Ovation obsession yet, she outdid herself on the surprise. I was convinced she was getting me exercise equipment because of all the comments about how out of shape I am, but she got me the Porsche Driving Experience in Portland this summer. It's a one day track driver's education, with reknowned race car drivers and the use of a new 911. Nothing I would have done for myself.
Just to bring this on topic, she said if they cancel the event in Portland, I can use it to buy a new guitar. If so, I think it's a U681T, if there are any still around.

Al, we had a house full of women and they were all complaining that my niece didn't get a rock for Christmas. Maybe you could sell her boyfriend yours.
