A couple of times over the last few months, he's slipped in a subliminal mention of his own self-published CD. I finally picked up on it and procured a copy. I'd heard some of his stuff at the NW OFC gathering and I was eager to hear more. It's aptly named Rest and it's really fantastic stuff. I listened to for the first time this morning and as a result, didn't get much work done. It's ten instrumental tracks.. lots of variety and varying styles and tempos -- overall, a very relaxing and low-key groove. If you've enjoyed his tracks on the OFC CD's you won't be disappointed. Probably imprinting a bit of my own music listening background here, but I found parts of it very reminiscent of David Gilmour's acoustic work. If you're interested, hit him up for a copy. It's very professionally put together.. retail packaging and the works -- we're not talking about a CD-R and a Sharpie here! It's well worth the $10 bucks he's asking for it. John, you should seriously try and get your cd onto CDbaby , or at the very least, the OFC Store .

Make sure to sign it up for the digital distributuion...currently I'm on a list of 40 companies and counting. Its pretty amazing what they offer unsigned artists and musicians. Definitley worth checking out

It's always a good feeling to know people (especially friends!) enjoy what you've produced. Schroeder, I'm pleased to know they have provided unparalleled protection for your furniture. My goal with this CD was to provide relaxing and restful (hence the name) acoustic guitar instrumentals. I'm taking your advice and sending some to CD Baby (with digital distribution). I looked at a different site a year ago, but it was more complicated than I wanted to deal with. Completely overlooked CD Baby, they seem very easy and straight forward to work with. If you're interested in obtaining a copy, PM or email me. Cost is $10 shipped. Thanks to all for your interest! John.
