Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | Big fan here, too. Highly recommended CD, "Endless Road" released in 2004 on the Favored Nations label, catalog number FNA5070-2. It's all solo Tommy. The DVD, "Live at Her Majesty's Theatre in Ballarat, Australia" is also amazing. On Favored Nations, catalog number FNA5120-9. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | So I ended up getting "Only" - listening to it right now. I also ordered the book "Note for Note Transcribed Solos From Tommy's album "Only"".
Anyone have any experience with this book? It should be fun to try and play some of these songs. It's pretty cool - tells you the tuning, what kind of guitar it's played on (nylon, etc.) and explains some of the techniques that he uses. |

Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | I've been working on "Those Who Wait", his knowledge of fingerings and that darn independent thumb are killing my hands. I love his music but I'll never be able to match what he get's out of an instrument.
He like's that drop "D" tuning. The book is really good. I also recommend getting his DVD "Up Close", you'll get more out of the video than the book!

Also on youtube an outstanding version of "Over The Rainbow". The link is probably somewhere in the youtube thread. |
