It's a very common item, about as difficult to find as mineral oil. (Which is to say, not even the most remote reaches of the outback would be without butcher's (aka floor wax)) | ||

Joined: August 2006 Posts: 2804 Location: ranson,wva | lol..mike,last week i fainaly got round to hanging drywall and blowing the instulation in the walls of my shop,laid the tile,ran the power and put the heat in. last night i got my sound equipment and cheap digital recording rig set up...now i rember why i bought that wax in the first place..my '71 cbs necked tele had a oiled neck on it...i got some pics coming up as we speak of the new addition to the family to be posted in a new thread..jason | ||

Then let it dry a bit, and then with a soft terry towel or soft paper towel like bounty, rub to a sheen. I found if I rub too hard with 0000 steel wool, some of the finish can come off. So if you go with steel wool, even the fine stuff, be careful. | ||
