TusQ, out performs bone these days, tonally in terms of clarity and sustain etc...

My Custom Legend has HUMAN BONE nut and saddle. I think of good old Dad every time I play it.

Naw, that's not true. But I've always wondered about it. You can buy human bones from these scientific supply houses that sell to schools and stuff. Hey, why not?

That's a thought there, David . . .

I'll have to make some amendments to that donation form . . .


In the Musical Instruments Dept. of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, there's an African stringed instrument (kinda like a banjo) and the body (or "bowl") consists of a human skull with the very top of the crown sawn off and a piece of goatskin stretched over it for a soundboard . . .
