Jason, that guitar looks GREAT! And I know it sounds great because I've got the same model (in blue). I'm really happy for you, man.

For those that don't know, these textured top adamas guitars that were built for export only are fantastic and an incredible bargin (if you can find one). The tops are somewhat different from the old Adamas I and II, in that only the edges (burst) of the top are painted. The inner grey looking part is bare graphite (like the 2080). Looks very cool. I have to admit, I think Jason's red one looks better than my blue and has the nice innie epaulets.

Nice going Jason. Dave

thanks dave, mine has outties. i like the outties because when i use a pick im somewhat agressive..lol. i played more ovations in the 2hrs i was a al's pad than i have in my whole life!! let me tell you..you dont have to work as hard to get the big sound out of a adamas that you do with a wood top...i was content with the 681 but alpep had to bring out a #47....that was the second one ive had the pleasue of spending some time with and they are truly amazing guitars...a great time was had all around. i can truthly say that i see many more adamii on my wall in the future...jason

It's the height of the saddle that makes the biggest difference on that one. The tone of the seasoned top and the rigidity of the neck.

Same rules as the rest of the guitars. Find what works for you and whenever you ask a question about strings expect a lot of different answers!

The 13's will work fine but why hurt yourself unnecessarily! The Adamas will project.

Sweet Guitar. or shall I say Guitars.

Hmmm ... I just noticed something. Most Adamas owners don't have the cutwaway versions. Why is that?

Because when you're paying that much for a guitar you want all of it, not just 80%. Seriously, I don't know the answer to your question. I personally don't do a whole lot of gymnastics above the 12th fret and I much prefer the look, feel and sound of a full bodied guitar.

ive got long fingers..as shown in one of the photos i can get pretty high on the register with out a cutaway...i personaly love the look and sound of a deep bowl non cutaway...

mike and dave know what a tone monster my folklore is..when i get the adamas out of the case the folklore runs and hides under the sofa..lol i fianly got a guitar that can drownd out the folklore...but like i told al today. the folklore and adamas will be the last ones ill ever get rid of if i ever get in a bind...
i guess i was blessed with the chance to get this great guitar. with the advice from dave im 100% positive that i made a great choice...jason
