Location: New Ulm, MN | Needed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Michael happened to be performing at the high school auditorium two blocks from our house. At $8 a head, I figured the wife was worth it. We grabbed our umbrellas(typical winter in southern MN, 45 degrees and raining?), walked over and enjoyed some great guitar work, singing and humor. The old man still has it after all these years.

Location: Fayetteville, NC | Michael Johnson is one of my favorites as well. I have a few of his lp's and i belive one of his last cd projects on the Intersound Label. It was Michael unplugged.. stripped dowwn acoustic versions of his hits. I love to hear him play.
Glad you got to hear him as well, and by the way..
Happy Anniversary! |

Location: New Ulm, MN | Yes he did. He told the story about never having to work at a regular job, but that he has watched people work and seen pictures of people working. He figured that qualified him to write about the subject!
And Steve, it was just him and his guitar at this concert. Also, thanks for the good wishes. It was number 14.

Location: New Ulm, MN | Gulfcoast, I'm an idiot and my wife confirms it. By his watching people work, this qualified him to SING about it. My bad!

Location: ms | spunky, i just like to point out useless info that only other musicians like yourself would appriciate. Also, since Kenny Chesney had his big hit with Mac's song(thats where i come from)that was written about Mississippi instead of Tennessee I like to make sure Mac gets credit where credit is due(like he needs my help) |
