OK, my Autoweek subscription is about up, and my interests have shifted to the guitar world. What would be a good magazine to subscribe to in the guitar venue? Is there a Guitarweek?

Same here. I always seem to pick up something out of that mag. Hasn't seemed to improve my playing at all but I seem to know a little more...

Well, not exactly a "magazine" but i subscribe to John Knowles\' Fingerstyle Quarterly. Most of the pieces are way beyond my abilities but still fun to poke at. Many pieces are quite accessible.

I met John at a guitar players meeting last year. What a great guy as well as being an incredible talent. If you can pick up anything from his Quaterly it's got to be good.

The only mag I get is AG. I am bothered by the way that "community" diss's Ovations, but I secretly love looking at all the ads of those beautiful all-wood guitars that I'll never buy because I'm so stuck on Ovations.

I like Guitar Techniques Magazine even though it is more oriented towards electric guitar. The subscription is somewhat expensive, but it's nice to get it every month in the mail. Barnes & Noble carries the magazine if you don't want to subscribe. Each issue comes with a CD that's full of interesting ideas as well as complete transcriptions of the featured tunes.

AcousticGuitar.
Even though it IS the handbook of the self-purported GuitarCogniscente, and the publishers alternate monthly on having their collective tongues up the asses of Martin or Taylor, there's not many alternatives. Most of the other guitar mags cater to the MetalHeadShredders.

I also subscribe to GuitarWorld Acoustic.
They'll often have some articles spotlighting new artists, and have some tabs/lessons. They'll often print tabs/chords for 5-6 popular songs which often provides gig fodder, but half the time it's either songs we already do or have no interest in doing . . .

I have really soured on most magazines, and only subscribe to Robb Report Motorcycles. I get a couple of other rags because they are part of a membership like PADI or the AMA, but I toss'em before reading in most cases.

For guitar info, I do scan the 'zine rack at the local book store once a month for any interesting articles, but for the real scoop, but there is never anything consistent enough for my interests to buy subsequent issues of any magazine. I'd rather just ask at the appropriate online forums. The info is more accurate and more up to date.

There is one exception, the only guitar magazine I do read from cover to cover anytime I get one is Guitar Digest.
http://www.guitardigest.com/ I really do need to get a subscription.

I split my playing time pretty evenly between acoustic and electric so I find I can't finsd one magazine that covers all the bases enough for my interests. Vintage Guitar is the only one I read regularly, cause I like to look at all the old stuff I'll never afford. Probably for the best because I could never just be a collector and never touch them. Not a lot of O's in there, unfortunately.
