Location: San Diego | Just purchased what was advertised as a 1979 Ovation 12-String Model 1615-4. I've searched the Internet to verify the age of the guitar but cannot find anything. The guitar is a normal figure 8 (no cut away), blonde front, with black bowl. The frets at 3, 7, and 15 show a dot, at 5 and 9 show a diamond, and at 12 show a diamond dot diamond. Can anyone identify the year and model? |

1115-4 is a all acoustic, the 1615 is a preamplified model.
Serial should look like this. |

Location: San Diego | Thanks to all. I have since learned it is a 1979 Pacemaker 12-String. Sounds wonderful even though it has a minor crack on the fron below the pickup. This one even has a broken neck but somebody did a fine job in repair. Cost out the door with original case was $400.00 at Guitar Trader. Can't complain about that! |
