Howdy Guys and Gals! One of the guys that I pick with is looking at a used balladeer model 4861 at the local guitar shop. He said that it plays and sounds great, but he cant seem to find out much information on this model. So I told him that I would post it here. With all the wisdom on this site, someone would be able to help. Also what would be a good price for this model.

Sidney (thats my buddy) will be very grateful for any info that you can share

Thanks in advance!
Bill :D

There are several threads in the Vault here. Search under "4861." It's a Korean made Balladeer that's essentaily the same as an 1861.

If Sidney has played the guitar and he likes it I would think a good price is $300-$350 with an Ovation case.

Thanks Mitchrx, I think that he said the shop was asking 275.00 for it.

I paid $351 for mine, plus s/h. I think I was locked in an E-baaa Moment, which I have avoided since. But I got a case, and mine is nice. OP24+, not too much wear for its age. I've seen a black one go for $500.
Just thought you might like that for comparison...
