Levon Helms offers BiWeekly concerts in a Barn in his back yard. He has guest muscians... Elvis Costello , Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, Emmy Lou, Donald Fagen to name a few. Theses are small crowds, very intimate around 100 people. The reviews are crazy good. I'd love to check this out. Levon Helm Midnight Ramble

Mavis Staples opened the show and sang The Weight, and told a nice story about Levon etal letting the Staples be a part of The Last Waltz. Mavis doesn't really have the pipes anymore, but she was great nonetheless ... personality can counterbalance diminished skills in a small venue.

I may run out screaming if I find: a girl in a peasant dress with flowers in her long blonde hair barefoot with hairy legs playing a kalimba a slightly overweight girl with an acne ridden face hornrimmed glasses wearing levi's and a tube top selling herbal teas, homemade brownies and chocolate chip cookies. a white chick with an Angela Davis fro but more formed like a poodle poured into jordache jeans and a danskin reading her original erotic poetry. other ghosts that will cause flashbacks any chick named Anne, Kathy or Mary IN THAT PARTICULAR ORDER. women with red hair (as my best friend used to say "dem red haired girls be funny") a shure vocalmaster pa yes I have issues.

No, no, no, no, no. It has it all wrong. It sounds like a giraffe is dying in my apartment when I try to play it, and then when I stop I hear the dying giraffe for like another 2 hours. The African people usually make impressive things. They invented ping pong or something. I don't know. But this is not a good African product, if you enjoy Africa and its stuff. Or maybe this came from somewhere in Asia. Well, I don't expect much from Asia. They have a lot of dying giraffes there, and maybe that's where they got the stupid idea. Well anyways. this is a horrible instrument and never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever buy it in your whole entire life."
