Don't get me wrong the UKE is gorgeous, but this thread should be titled "how to make fun of Witko 101" :p :D :p :D You probably get sick of hearing from me about Martin guitars and about Ukuleles. "cute little 4 stringed guitar" will barely get you a grade in this class John....

Actually took an 8-string and ditched the duplicate strings turning it into a 4 string wideneck. You guys can laugh and poke fun all you want. All I know is that when I play the uke it makes me smile. Makes others smile as well, but probably for a different reason. Dave

That is a very nice instrument and will provide enviable collectability well past what our misunderstood Ovations will get. If you had six strings and wanted to set up an electric Uke-like instrument with a 19.125 inch scale what would you do? I am considering DD-GG-B-E. Another route is to stuff eight tuners in the peghead and go mando or uke with four double courses. Any ideas?

Dave, on the other hand and being the good guy he is, finished his rendition of "Oops, I Did It Again" and put it away. Case closed.
