One was a clearance UTE at Music123 for $1749 with free shipping. Music 123 UTE on sale Says it is clearance rather than B-stock, so if someone is 'jonesing' for a UTE, it is in stock and 35% off list. They also have an Open Box 2006 Collectors for $1,899. Not much of a bargain but still $100 off their retail price. But the deal I actually followed through on was at American Musical Supply. Because I did a nice big deal this past year I had a hankering for a guitar to commemorate that contract. The obvious choice was a 2006 collector and I was just waiting for an opportunity of the right one to come around. at AMS I found a 2006 Collectors for $1,549 with free shipping. That is (allegedly) 45% off list. Not only that they let me pay it up over 5 months interest free! When I saw it I was so shocked that a NEW was that price that I called them to confirm. They confirmed that it has never been on floor anywhere and is supplied new in carton with full factory warranty. It will be with me tomorrow so not long to see if it fulfils my expectations. I know koa figuring is very unique so it is a bit of a lottery buying from warehouse sight unseen, but even if I really hate it (fat chance ;) ) I can't possibly be out money wise. Will post pics and reviews over weekend. Dead excited!!!!!! :D

It's either a return or it's something they advertise but don't really have. There was something significantly odd about the deal. Dave

They are participating in a Scottish Festival apparently and she has one of the Solo's for her choral group. I am certainly fulfilling the trade up for my kids as the best I ever got at high school was a trip to Edinburgh to participate in a choral festival. That was only 90 miles trip in a mini-bus but a 15 hour day trip :-) When I get more details of the itinerary Randy I will let you know where she will be. She will be happy to give your W-597 a work out as she has gigged with mine several times and apart from being talented is very responsible.

I didn't even get to leave town to go to college and a scholarship paid my full $250 annual tuition. It just occurred to me that's the same amount that I spent on her Ovation that I got her for Christmas last year. (How's that for bringing it back on topic?)

Tony recently bought a brand new one in a shop for less than $1500. The problem is that there was only about 100 of them made and you have a hard time finding factory fresh ones anymore. Dave
