Finished the new bone nut and saddle on my 12-string, my first DIY luthier job, and the result is really amazing. The sound of the guitar (a Yamaha wood box  ) is a lot better than before. I didn't believe that bone would make such big difference. I left the action a little higher than before, and that may contribute to the improvement, it's both louder and clearer.
Next project may be nut and bridge for my solidbody with Bigsby, graphite nut and roller bridge, or do any of you have other recommendations?
