Hi all. I've been a huge fan of Ovations for about 10 yrs, have owned many (many I wished I'd kept). At the moment I have a black GC178LX Elite, and just ordered a 2078LE-AS.

Welcome paganini. Good choice on guitars (2078LE-AS). I think they're gorgeous and from what I've heard they sound great too. Keep us posted.

Welcome from the Black Hills. A bunch of us are getting together for an OFC Gathering in June. You're not far away, you ought to come up. You'll get to meet some great members with great guitars.

Welcome, part of the requirement for membership here is that you have to go to South Dakota and pass an audition judged by Alison, you get to choose the song.

Yeah, and I'm a tough judge!! :D And you DO get to choose the song, as long as it has a good beat and you can dance to it. (Am I showing my age or what?)

Auditions? We have auditions now? Sure am glad I got in under the old rules!

Paganini, the GC178LX is a great guitar. You'll love the 2078 too.

I'm not a big fan of the GC178lx, it's basically a back up guitar. But ya I'm sure I will love the 2078.

Hahaha I'm not too worried, I only play in my room to a captive audience (my cat)...

I have two guitars by Ovation - a mid 70s 12 string, and an Adamas with a slotted headstock with serial number 43...

Coolness. I wouldn't mind getting an Ovation or Rainsong 12-string. Maybe one day. For some reason I can't really get into the Adamas sound.
