I have a 1613 which should be here on Monday, and according to the previous owner it has just sat in a corner for a few years... so I would like to re-string it while I freshen it up a bit.

any recommendations as to brand and tension/hardness? and an explanation of the differences.

I've seen a lot of discussion on steel strung guitars but not much on the nylons.

any help and direction appreciated.

Thanks,

Glenn

Try a search for Salvarez. I hope that's how you spell it. I think Fred has posted some strong opinions on them. High tension.

Savarez.

Or D'Add ProArte.

Go for the High Tension.

Thanks all for the input, I have really grown to love the 1624 that Al has let me borrow, again thanks to Slydog and to Sergio for selling him such a great guitar.

and I can't wait to hear the difference between it and the deep-bowl 12 fretter that's on the way.

again thanks for the input, now going to look for some deals..
