Location: Mich | Any good luthiers in lower michigan? I would like to have two minor lacquer cracks fixed on my red 1657-7 ovation. The top looks so nice for its age, the cracks bother me. They are very faint, 1" and 1 1/2 inches long where the fret board begins.
Also, are the red 1657 anniversary models uncommon? I usually only have seen the brown-orange or nutmeg tops. I really like my deep red reverse sunburst.
Thank you. |

I'm in S.E. Michigan. Sorry... I don't have anyone to suggest.
However.... Concider sending to back to the Ovation service department. Anyone on this board will tell you that no one else knows your guitar better than them and they work cheap.
You'll always get more than bargined for from them. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Hi, try Paul Murphy at Blue Fish Music in Plymouth, up in the Old Town area on Starkweather. He does super work, and even tolerates Ovations (he used to own a GC 12-string when he was younger) :D .

Location: 6 String Ranch | The reddish finish on that model was pretty much only used on that model, a few customs got it too but that's it. |
