Location: Athens, GA & Gnashville | Is this off topic? Not for me. Terry died last Friday up near Dolly Parton's hometown. Not sure what happened yet, but he was only 53 and a good friend. Most of you have heard him whether you know it or not.
Terry was the energetic harmonica player that was discovered by Chet Atkins and played on tons of records by Chet, Jerry Reed, Larry Carlton and the list goes on and on. I used him on a lot of my song demos just to get his energy and creative juices....whether it needed harp or not!!
I know I did 5 Jerry Reed albums with him myself. For a long time, Reed couldn't do an album without him.
Anyway, he is already missed. Carry on. |

Location: Fayetteville, NC | I find this news really Sad! terry Was a great Harmonica Player and a Great Human being. I met him on a couple of Occasions several years ago when visiting my Parents when they were living in The Nashville Area. I was first introduced by a record promoter freind of mine while we wer out to Lunch. I hadn't even heard he was ill.
At 53 he was too young to go, He will be missed. |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | I have a solo CD by Terry that I play every once in a while. He was a fine percussionist, too. Some of my favorite worship projects for 'stirring myself up' are led by Don Potter with Terry on harmonica and congas. Great stuff. He'll be missed here, but I bet he's enjoying the worship where he's at. |

Location: Orlando, FL | Very sorry to hear about Terry! I have a CD that came out mid 90's (I think) with him and Larry Carlton called Renegade Gentleman. Its all blues. Great CD.

Location: Fayetteville, NC | Terry could play on any type song any style and his work was always a masterpiece. In recent years i know he had been very active traveling
and playing with Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Gospel concerts. Anyone who knows anything about The Bill Gaither homecoming productions, knows Bill is always First class all teh way when it comes to musicians. So it's not surprising at all that he would pick Terry to do ahrmonica work inteh studio a d on the road whenever his schedule allowed.
Terry..First class allthe way! Now Hes' making beautiful music in Heaven.I think my Daddy will love jamming with Terry. |
