Did you ever get one of your guitars hooked up to use the system? |

Location: Atlanta, GA. | I recall seeing a guitar, back in the '60s at a local music store, that had a square of slate placed under the strings that gave it a somewhat sitar sound. I don't remember the company that built it, but I always thought this type of instrument was used on the lead for B.J. Thomas' "Hooked on a Feeling".
Anyone else seen one of these? |

I own an original dana sitar so that sound is not a problem for me

I suspect the effect comes from the type of pickup and maybe the transistors. It might be worth buying a used on ebay and fixing it, or cannabalizing its electronics.
And on a serious note:
Looks like a map of the US, i see a little leg for florida, and a bump for maine, a scoopy bump for texas, and san francisco has a strap button sticking out. The neck is Long Island, and totally out of proportion. |
