Hi everyone,

I am new member on this forum and recently became owner of Ovation 2006 collectors edition FKOA. The guitar sounds amazing unplugged but its about time to get some more gear for live performance and home recording studio. I already bought small Yamaha mw10c mixer which does not have Hi-z inputs. It can be connected to computer through USB.

Can you recomend some good gear for acoustic guitar setup.

What I currently have in mind is:

Guitar - ????? - Mixer - PA - speakers

OR

Guitar - ????? - Mixer - Computer and monitors

Do I need acoustic DI between guitar and mixer ex. Fishman Aura Spectrum.
Which acoustic effects do you recommend to get some nice sounds?
What do you think about TC G Natural?

Any recommendation is welcome as I don’t have much experience with acoustic amplification.

Regards

Bato,

Welcome to the mad house. Good to have another Aussie on board. Someone with more information will be along shortly (most of them live in a different time zone). To check out more of the local Ovation news, visit http://ovationfanclub.ning.com/group/downunder

There's a home recording group over on the ning site, too. After I read your post last night I found an ebook, "Home Recording for Dummies". You might check that out. No insult intended. The "for Dummies" books are a pretty popular series.
