Watching the Grammy's last night was more of the same boring stuff that gets recycled year after year IMO. I did enjoy the beginning when the reunited members of The Police performed "Roxanne."

There were a handful of musicians who performed, and more of the obvious instruments featured. I wonder if these music companies paid big bucks to have their instruments displayed clearly on stage?? Taylors and Gibsons, for example, were not only played by the musicians on stage but the names on the headstocks were also clearly visible/readable when the cameras do a close-up on them. So were the Yamaha logos on their pianos and keyboards, as well as, various percussion instruments with the likes dw on the front of the kick drum and cymbals with either Sabian or the letter "K" on them.

The only performance that featured an Ovation was that of Shakira and Wyclef's "My Hips Don't Lie." It started with Wyclef's playing what looks like a black Custom Legend with lots of bling. After singing a stanza, he handed the guitar to another musician who played with it throughout the performance, as Wyclef and Shakira sang/rapped all the way though the song.

I saw Wyclef playing Ovations before! I guess he prefers them for quite some years now!

Besides O`s, I saw him playing a Gibson Chat Atkins nylon in the past.
