While this may seem OT, it really is related to the board. Take a look at the pix first:

Now how is this related to the board? Because the guy who posted the pix stated,

"I have #001, the only one (of the 22 made) to carry a serial number. Originally bought by Bill Kaman (Ovation Guitars) at the '98, or maybe '99, NAMM show. One of 2 to have a walnut neck/fretboard. Resonant as hell - beautiful sounds. Don't play it more than 5 minutes a month so as to keep it in as-made condition. Also get a big kick from the high aesthetic and engineering integrity of the design."

Hmmmm, i thought, that's interesting.

those aren't traditional strings...

the luthier states he does not make this model any longer due to an allergy he developed to some of the materials. interesting concept!

Now thats something you don't see every day.
Most of the crazy guitars you see are just freak shows.
That design is so far out that it comes back around to being cool.

Wow... that last set of pics goes even further out. That silver case looks like something Q would give to James Bond.

I spent some time in their booth this year at NAMM. Easily the most interesting electrics I saw.

I had the only birdfish bass and guitar #15. They are cool but you get over that. Kummer sold them for me. and the first one pictured too.
