I'm sure this has been covered, but I'm new here, What are considered to be to best pickups used on old Ovation electrics? Those blade type p/u's look very Hofner, Am I right?

I think you might need to be more Specific. Pickups are pretty subjective too. The pickups were made by Ovation.
Breadwinner I think the Toroidal were the best.
I never warmed up to the humbuckers of the Preacher Deluxe or Deacon.
The UKII pickups are awesome.
My favorite pickups overall are the Viper pickups.
For the Storm Series they used a couple of different types, but the somewhat generic ones they used on the Eclipse are my favorites for those. |

Location: New Jersey | Thanks for the reply, The Storm series hollowbodies are my favorites, My eclipse has the one Edensharvest showed.( I think they sound great) I just bought a Tornado with the Blade pickups, It hasn't arrived yet, but was just wondering what to expect. Here it is..

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I think they sound a bit like a clean 335. I don't much like the sound of those pickups distorted, but clean they are great. But that's just my opinion. |
