Oh no, Lanaki, I'm still doomed to a life of trying to catch up!

CL55 Renntech. Talk about scary fast! That thing's got a top end of 300km/h. (I can talk euro too, Fred :) ).

"Back in the day", I had a killer muscle car ... 1968 Camaro SS396. My current ride (C4S) does 0-60 nearly 2 seconds faster and the 1/4 mile about 3 seconds faster. With just over 50% of the dispacement.

IF you want to run with the kids these days, just make sure you're running farther than their nitrous capability.

My fun ride these days is a 1983 Mazda Rx-7. Not terribly fast, but I'm secure knowing that I have more grins/dollar than almost anything else out on the road...

Professor is sorta right. It's all power to weight ratios. That's why most motorcycles will blow the doors off a muscle car.
The kids with the rice rockets aren't that smart. They still spend a few thou on a stereo, a wing and a fart muffler and there cars aren't any faster. They'll buy a chip that will raise the redline to a point that the blow the engine.
On the other hand, someone told me today that a recent test of a Lexus and Infinity pointed out that the 0-60 times were within a tenth of a Lambo Countach.

I pulled the AMG off of mine but kept the M and moved it to the other side. Now in the back it reads CL55M. They all want to know what model that is and I tell them it's the Mutha or mega or monster depending on circumstances. At 530 horses it is kind of a monster.
I'd second what Tuppy said, it's the 60-120 where it gets real fun. All that said it's an 04 and has 26,000 and the 07 Suburban I got in May has 20,000. That is a pretty good indication where I'm at these days.

Hardly. You can fit 35 guitars in the Suburban, easily.
It shuts down at 97 so you can't go too fast.
