Greetings - How does one go about getting the nicks out of a neck of a recently bought used Ovation guitar? The dings are not deep but very noticable. All my other guitars are mint and, although it doesn't hinder the playing of the guitar, I want to smooth out the backside of the neck. Once I do that I want to give it a clear coat but not sure what to use to so so. Any ideas on both topics? Thanks in advance. Phil

If it's through the color, you need to fill in with a matching color and then cover it with clear. I used fingernail polish. Sanding down to get it back flush with the old area is the tough part.
