Greetings - I bought a UK2 with several nick in the backside of the neck. I have the neck off and want to sand it down (maybe to the bare wood)to get the nicks out (some are into the wood itself). I need some advise how to go about doing this. Please advise. Thank you in advance. Phil aka Twobits

Are you sure the neck is wood, or is it urethane?

The Body is Urethane but I think the Necks are Mahogany. I have a refinished Bow Tie Neck that is wood.

Leave it alone.
if you got to smooth it fill it with super glue and blend the finish.

I think it's dark mahogany. What would you advise?

I don't see that many around regardless. I got mine as someone likely thought it was a goner.
