In the United States...I have bought using eBay BIN at $650, also have won bid as low as $390. Both were in excellent condition.

Best bet is for someone who either knows the quality of the instrument or someone local who has a chance to play it. The guitar will sell itself.

I would agree that the going (ebay) rate is between $600-700 for one in near mint shape. I had one just like yours (also an '81) that I sold last October for $700. Good luck.

I have a 1619CL from 1981 also. I have no intentions of selling it, but know I could never get what it is truly worth. I've compared the sound of that guitar to Taylors and Martins for much more the price, and the 1619CL, beats them hands down. Plus the playability of that guitar, makes it that much better. Unfortunately, classic O's like the 1619CL, won't fetch the price it deserves.
