I currently own a yamaha ag stomp box w/expression pedal, and am more than pleased with it for my a/e guitars.

I was wondering if anyone here currently owns or has owned the dg stomp for electrics? and what are your opinions of it?

if it is as versatile and reliable as the ag stomp, I think I might want to get the dg for my electrics. I have tried several multifx boxes like the digitechs... but really not happy with them, or the models/presets and kinda flimsy construction.

thanks in advance.

Glenn

I don't know if you read the manual on your acoustic stomp, but you can download the electric effects into your 99 user presets. Believe it or not its the same box. There, now you don't need to buy a new one.

I owned the yamaha ag stomp and got rid of it. The wall wart burned up. For the short time I had it, it was OK.

If you really want to get into multi-effects for electrics, I'd either download the electric effects, and skip the Electric Magic Stomp (aren't they discontinued?), skip the zoom units and digitechs and go directly to the PODxt.

I have 2 DG Stomps, and think they're great, properly set. For acoustic use, I use only the FX and do not use one of the pre-amps. I also use the second to provide the FX I use on the mics. My only quibble is that the chorus function must be very precisely set, or it sounds unnatural. BTW, for the poster who lost his wall wart, I found a suitable replacement at Radio Shack.

I could've had them replace the wart, but their quality control was unimpressive and since the effects were just OK, back it went.

It's too late my friend, for a new wart, the yamaha stomp went back to meet its maker long ago.
