Location: SoCal | Just an absolutely beautiful guitar. Bet it sounds wonderful as well. I could see the wheels turning in Woodrow's head last year at Stonge's house when he played Stonge's long neck 12 string.
I love the sound of long necks, but it screws with my mind. I can capo up the neck with the best of them, but trying to figure out chords going the other way is almost painful for me. But Woodrow, if you'll send the guitar down to me for say, 6 months, I'll try and figure it out...... |

Location: PDX | Nice Mike! It's hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like the epaulets are inlaid. Is that the case?

Location: Central Massachusetts | Greg, I think all wood-top epaulets are inlaid these days.. part of the "LX" moniker. I suppose you could special order the old style. |

Pretty cool. The only inlaid epi's i had ever seen were those on Spot. They add a really nice "finished" look to the guitar.

Damn fine.
I downloaded the pics to use as a desk top.
The only thing I would have done different would be to have the 5 piece neck stripes show on the headstock. Leave the face of the headstock black, but show the skunk stripes.
That top looks awesome.
I know you won't be able to make the tour this year. :(
Is there any possible way your guitar can attend?? ;) :D |

Location: Central Massachusetts | Speaking of Spot, I'm boxing her up today for a trip to the Spa for some "despeckling".. hopefully will be hand-carrying her home from the tour.
Wander thru the Guitar Center near Washington Square one of these days, they actually have quite a few USA O's. Lots of inlaid epaulets and beautiful finishes. No bursts, though, last time I checked. Haven't really seen anyplace else around PDX that has O's. |

Location: GA USA | Sam's wood box handmade Adamas top guitar has inlaid epaulets. He was gonna glue them on and the luthier told him they just had to be inlaid. It's beautiful work. |

The difference between your -TDB and my old -1 is more subtle than I would have expected. Both are very purdy...

Along with the unusual longneck fret markers I'd put dots or "snowflakes" in between them. That way if I'm capoed up to concert pitch I'd have my reference points. I know, I know... if I was a better musician I wouldn't need them. Well... I'm not and I do.
I hope there is a longneck at the tour.
I gotta try on of those things. |
