Having repeatedly experienced dropped or lost picks, pencils, capos, sticky notes, fasteners, expanding clips and other small stuff off the music stand due to insufficient room, I bought from the local hardware store a $3.00 single utensil plastic tray organizer of the type that interlocks with another, sprayed it flat black, then hung it on the bottom shelf of the music stand. The tray’s interlocking lip fits perfectly on the metal gauge of a variety of music stand models and sizes, installs in one second, and is light and transportable. If the tray is loose because the music stand metal is really thin, it can be held in place with one or more 1/2" binding clips. It is now a regular part of my gig bag. Works like a charm!

Cool idea. As to the music, the page on the right would be what you'd see on my stand ... OR the same things superimposed over the staff on the notated page.

The music on the left is something we did a while back. The notes on the right are mine and serve as a transposition of a piece I'm doing this Sunday for a group of madrigal singers. I don't do well turning pages, so I rewrote the piece on a single sheet. It really isn't anything special. The point is to show off the organizer tray!

Too late, Prof. They've fixated on the music.

I like the tray, by the way. 'Madrigal singers'?

OFC Tip #48

When you photograph a beautiful instrument in your Study the OFC will immediately notice and nitpick your reading selection or Barbara Streisand discography!

Waskel, "madrigal" is not really the correct description. It is really a small group ensemble of about a dozen voices who are featured every few weeks during the contemporary worship service.

GGG, the Gibson banner goes with a bunch of other Gibson stuff surrounding my Gibson guitars.

Ah, I get it! Thanks, Moody!

So, they sing for about 45 seconds, then argue and make up stories about avian hit men for 8 minutes?

Well, that's one way of doing a one hour show with 15 minutes of material. Up here we just show more commercials...

BTW; anyone know if Tom & Dicky are rehearsing the 40th anniversary of the show yet? We need more family entertainment like that. (speaking of brownies...... )
