Just heard on the radio that about 10 miles north of me here, a truck was coming down a hill too fast, was unable to negotiate a freeway interchange, overturns, and spills 13,000 pounds of bananas. Of bananas.

NICE!!!

Now that you've that song stuck in my head, I'll have to "open" with it tonight . . .

Also reminds me of Chris Rea's "God's Great Banana Skin". . . great tune.

I actually witnessed my friend, Tony, now dead, slip on a banana peel and fall on his ass, while crossing the street in San Francisco .

...No, it wasn't the Banana peel that killed him.

Though that would make a great song.

belive it or not.

When I was partners in a music store in SW philly I used to travel over there almost every day of the week. ONe hot summer day I am goving over the walt whitman bridge and I find that I am slipping over the road. I look down at the road and it looks like I am slipping on ground beef. PILES of ground beef.

I could not change lanes so I go until I come up against a stalled trash truck that is dumping it's load of ground beef all over the roadway.

Well did you ever try to move while stuck in a couple of inches of ground beef? it is wrose than snow!!!!
I finally get the truck moving and around the trash truck and get to the store. NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE ME. i had to take people out to the truck to check out the ground beef stuck in the wheel wheels etc of the car.

after 5 hours out in the sun I go home and realize that I have to wash off the truck and fast. it was smelling kinda ripe.

the evening news verifided that I was not crazy to the rest of my family and freinds.

yes if it can happen it has happened to me.

They may have verified there was an accident with a truck dumping meat all over the road. They may have verified that you were there. But verified that you are not crazy???? I don't buy it :)

A guy I work with is married to lady name Janna. I'm told on their wedding day, she slipped on a banana peel while coming out of the house. Her nick-name (I've heard him call her by it) is now and forever

Janna-Banana...

Yes, He is a jerk. :p :D :p :D

I can honestly say, that in my 51 years thusfar on this planet, I have NEVER (with the exception of the floor of a zoo cage, a cartoon, or a Laurel&Hardy flick) seen a banana peel just LYING on the ground out in the open where people would even THINK of traversing.

Those capable(read: "stupid enough") of finding one, and then STEPPING on one, are in severe violation of Darwinian Law and deserved to be "thinned" from the herd . . .

Tony's exact words upon realizing what had happened, "This...haahaahoo..is...hehehehee... so fu@king....hehehe...Slapstick!!!..."

The trolley car would have been a nice touch. Had he known he would be killed in a car accident a few years later, maybe he would have opted the more comedic exit.
