I sold a Fender 1965 powder blue Jaguar, many years ago that I didn't like then, that I wish I still had. Sad part was I let it go for chump change, because at the time I was hungry for Gibsons. Ever been through this?

Paid $150, and was happy to sell it for the same about three years later. When I first started eBaying a few years ago, I saw a perfect almost unused '62 go for $6,000. It even had the same tan case as mine. Sigh...

I tried to buy it back many times back then and even bought a couple more over the years but they never were the same. Funny thing last week i ran into the guy i sold it to and he offered it back to me but he wants too much, and i think the magic's gone.

I have never seen one like it since - and I have searched - often. Ibanez Flying V - lawsuit model. My first rock and roll guitar. I sold it the same week I sold the guild. 2 years ago I found the same guitar on eBay, not one like it - the same one. It cost me alot more than I paid for it plus what I sold it for. I have never regreted that repurchase. Now, if I could only get that guild back!

Of the whole 4 guitars I've sold, only my first guitar, Univox hollowbody, brings some remorse, although I sold it for 5 times what I paid for it and used the proceeds to buy my first Ovation.

(A rare thing at the time, being in tune that is) Had the family sell it, along with my bass, to finance staying in Europe a little while longer. I should have spent more time busking and kept the amp.

Of course, I would have had good reasons along the way to sell them off at least a dozen times before the market got to where it is. Can't look back...only look forward. And cry sometimes. ;)

I regret selling my mid-60's Princeton Reverb amp in order to help fund a new Kustom Lead with 4x10 in about 1976. I regret selling that one too, but food for the babies and rent were calling. I also wish I still had my 1961 Porsche 356B Super. :(
