Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. I took the plunge and bought a Balladeer 1771LX and I should be receiving it this coming Tuesday.
I've owned a couple of Ovations in the past and sold them because of the large bowl so this time I went for the mid bowl.
Any input on the 1771LX? I bought it over the net because I do not have dealers close by, so I bought it without playing first. I did get a chance to play a S771 that my local GC had in stock and I thought sounded good.
I have read a bunch of reviews and I liked what I read.

Thanks Lanaki.
I'm afraid that I've had a bad case of G.A.S. for a long time, and I'm told that there is no cure...
I'm really looking forward to all the input.

Geez you're quick to welcome the newbies, Randy. You got 'Newbie Radar' or summinck?

So, guitarmanrrg, welcome to the best cyber pub in the known universe. You'll learn everything you need to know about the plastic guitars, and some other stuff about other stuff I'll bet you didn't even know you needed to know.

You are in the enviable position of actually living in the US so there is a good chance you'll get to meet a lot of the members. Us foreigners are jealous about that.

Hang around and be entertained.

Thank you guys for allowing me to play.
Plastic guitar? I don't think I've ever heard anyone call an Ovation plastic but, I guess the bowl is sort of like plastic?

Welcome guitarmanrrg,

Lots of great guitars and people here. I'm not familiar with that model but I've heard a lot of good comments on the LX series.

Post some pics when you get it. It alway helps everyone's GAS.

Plastic guitars, they slide off your lap like tupperware, won't stand up in the corner, only sound good plugged in, yeah that's them.

We love them anyway!
Welcome.
