Location: Ontario Canada | Hi all.. Ive recently acquired an old Balladeer. It was dropped,and the head was broken off and lost some years ago..Looking on the net for any information about the guitar i stumbled upon this site here and found the look-up section. I ran the numbers here at your site (ser.#2169) and discovered that its a lot older than I had originally estimated. I am looking for advice on how to go about restoring this old beauty. Preferably with a repro or original Ovation head. I will include a few pics and I look forward to all of your input on this matter :)

The only place that can do that instrument justice is the Ovation factory itself. Do a search about repairs and you should find PILES of information about how to go about it.
And be sure to post pics when you get it back. (After you've cleaned your drool off of it. Yeah. It's gonna look that good!) :D :cool: |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I've never seen a broken neck repaired where the original pieces weren't used, but I have a lot to learn. I would think you will need to find a replacement neck. As Patch said, the best place is the factory. They do great work. |

I wait now with fingers crossed :) They are not so far from where I live so it's looking pretty good for a days worth of research :) I will keep you all posted on this little fellas progress for sure :) |
