Hi,
I'm new here but I own 3 different Ovation Solidbodies, A Breadwinner, Viper and Preacher. My question is when the gold plating wears off the bridge pickup of a Preacher Deluxe can it be restored economically, and how is it done.? Where or who can do this? The Preacher I bought recently has this problem with the gold being worn off the pick-up cover just from normal playing I guess.

I would call someplace like this

http://www.goldplating.com/

It doesn't seem all that expensive. I would take the covers off of the pickups and just send them. The covers are only held on by a couple of solder area's on the back.
