I'm assuming it's possible to change a left-handed acoustic guitar to a right-handed acoustic guitar. Just thinking about it, I would further assume all that would be required is a new nut and saddle...actually, I bet the bridge would have to be replaced so the saddle goes the right way, eh?

If this is all true, how much could I expect to send on such a thing?

I used to sell these a while ago. Cheap and easy right to left conversion. I can't get my brain to function right now, to figure out if they'll work in reverse, but I guess they might

The other consideration is that on most guitars the bracing is not symetrical, but that's a minor thing, hasn't bothered McCartney and that right-handed Epiphone Texan he's played for 40-odd years

I believe the standard answer goes something like, "email John Budney at the mothership." :)

I'm thinking it should not be a very expensive endevour.

I dunno if Budney and crew would be interested in converting a lefty Guild to righty. :D

The bracing was something I considered, Paul, but wasn't sure if it would make a huge difference. The Saddleboy is an interesting product. Just looking at the pictures, I'm thinking no, but...uh, this Red Stripe here may have clouded my judgement. Heh.

Might be worth an email to the manufacturer. I Can probably still get them and my dealer cost was less that 20 bucks. For a standard conversion a luthier would need to fill the existing saddle slot and rout a new one at the correct angle, plus make a new nut. I'm guessing 200 to 300 bucks.

This isn't about what I thought it was about.

I thought the doc had given Temp some advice.

Yeah, this was a soft pitch just waiting to be hit out of the park. What's wrong with OFCers today?

It didn't seem to bother Hendrix.
