ok......so is anyone familiar with the bridge mechanics of this guitar??........i don't understand what the little scew in the back of the body is for...........when i got the guitar, the screw was never attached to anything........and i don't understand how it would adjust the bridge, even with the missing part.......

if it has the old style brass and plastic bridge it mounts and adjusts at 3 points hence the screw in the back,

if it has the newer chrome or gold schaller bridge it only mounts at 2 points and the screw is unnecessary... just filling a hole.

That's right. The later ones had that hole filled so you have a "transition" model.

so why is the bridge at that weird angle??........is the bridge worn??......or those 2 posts that hold the bridge in place, are they worn??.........or is that how they made it??........

If type 2: it sounds like you are missing the rear nut.

1)Breadwinner/Deacon/Deacon 12
2)UK II with spacer
3)UK II without spacer

at the 1) I see a detail I miss on my Breadwinner (or maybe I misunderstand what I see on your pic):
are the 6 saddles screwed from under the bridge plate there?

The early ones didn't have the hold-down screws.

I've seen seven different types of bridges for the solid body Ovations.
