Mr.Ovation:
ok,
i was doing everything in plain html few years ago, but now i'm too lazy to do it.
and since 2000 X-Window system on BSD/Linux/Unix platform developed significantly and now it doesn't crash every time some flash animation is loaded.

Miles, I wasn't referring to ebay. That's all public information. What I was referring to was the posting of new guitar prices at various dealers. e.g. Somebody posts that Brother Bobblehead is blowing out Elite-T's for $600. I just bought one from my local dealer for $700. therefor I feel ripped off and not inclined to support my local dealer anymore. I'm probably making something out of nothing but it just bothers me to see 2% of the dealers sell 98% of the guitars and get away with offering little to no added value in the process. Dave

PS - Don't worry, tomorrow I'll have a new pet peeve.

Thanks for the idea CL.

Tuppy, I agree on the price stuff. I said ebay police, I meant to say price police. Again, lets hope it doesn't come to more rules.

Another forum has a rule specifically prohibiting this practice:

NO GUITAR PRICING DISCUSSIONS: We respectfully ask that you keep guitar pricing discussions offline. We think pricing discussions in this forum can hurt dealers and ultimately hurt customers. When someone posts that they bought a guitar for from dealer XXXXX XXXXX, that suddenly sets the price for a lot of other dealers to have to match to stay competitive. It doesn't matter if the more expensive dealer offers better service or value-adds, has a nicer display room where the instruments are better cared for, etc. If "Cow Warehouse Guitars" is selling the same guitar for less money, many people are going to buy it. Now if you were the guy that just got great service buying your first guitar from your local dealer, you're so excited, you come online to see what other people are saying about this guitar and you find out that someone else just paid a few hundred less for the same model, how are you gonna feel?

FWIW

Miles, could you perhaps include the link to the OFC Frappr map somewhere (maybe the reference section)?

I believe they also offer the html to embed the map.

Yeah, and maybe a drink holder on the sidebar would be nice too. :D
