I don't want to buy another amp only for acoustic, i want to spend more money on good guitars, not on amps i currently own a 60w kettner which does just fine with acoustic, it's very transparent and it's almost as good as marshalls AS50D acoustic amp if it comes to sound quality, but it's too weak to play on stage, and it's really old one (20 years) and it starts to produce weird noises...

Today i bought new electric guitar - Washburn X50-ProE with 2 EMG pickups, and i've already tuned it down to C. i still like to play on acoustic, but in last month or so acoustic/electric clearly became my 2nd instrument, and i've "turned back clock" and started to listen to / play music i've listened while in High School - core/metalcore/death with favourites like Sepultura, Soulfly, Death or Samael. I hope it's temporary and i won't end up in some quasi-satanic death/black metal band :p especially with my vocal :]

A friend of my wife's a brazil pop / jazz / bossa nova player, and he plugs in both a semi-hollow body and an ae nylon string and it sounds great. I never played an a/e thru that line 6 amp, though I have played an Ibanez solid body thru one, and I have to say I was impressed.

I'm pretty sure all of the amp modeling and effects are the same between the II and the III. Overall, I like the amp a lot. It has some really good settings and for the most part, is pretty good at recreating different amp sounds. The floorboard is a good thing to have for that amp. There is a "preamp" setting that is good for acoustic guitar playing. Maybe not as perfect as a full acoustic amp, but if you can only have one amp, it's good enough for my less than stellar acoustic guitar work. Add to the mix the built-in effects, especially the chorus and reverb, and you can get away with it. I also have a Fender ProReverb all-tube amp ... even on the clean channel, the Fender is not as good for acoustic. But for the reverb-drenched guitar stuff I play, the Flextone model emulation falls way short to my ears.

Yeah,that`s a little problem that those digital circuits have,a Good Valve Amp. with a Good sized reverb tank ( and even a stomp in front)can give U that...with a little..without being too..strong yet soft..but spicey..including that..having a bit of..kind of like..yeah exactly,U know how it is. :) Vic

I'm 90% sure that i'll end up with Flextone XL. My Legend sounds good through it on some programs and it's enough for me. I only need to keep mid's silent and it's ok.

I'm more than pleased. i would recommend it to everyone who plays mainly on electric, but occasionally uses a/e and wants to plug it in. Sound of A/E is quite good on factory default presets, and after few changes it's really good.
