Random quote: "Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now." - Jol Dantzig

I have wondered about this from time to time so I thought I'd put it out to the club for feedback: Over the years there have been tragedies which have taken the lives of some wonderful musicians: Jim Croce, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marcel Dadi on Flt.800, and others. Then there have been incidents where the artists themselves were not involved or survived but the equipment was lost: 1975 Led Zeppelin Concert Riot in Boston; Peter Frampton plane crash in SA; Etc. Many famous guitars have been lost or destroyed: does anyone know of any of these mentioned or not mentioned? Not trying to be macabre or disrespectful to those lost, but it is a part of Guitar history and I don't know if it’s ever been collected in one place. Also stolen guitars could certainly be included. Anyone have any knowledge, thoughts or particulars?

Blessings...

These guys travel for a living, there's bound to be a ton of "incidents", both with and without stars.
