Got a new to me 6751 in red. My first 12 string Ovation. Another old US made Balladeer. She needs some new strings, but is a real looker. She's got a little nick off the head, but for her age, is really in good shape. I wanted a 12, but was a little hesitant, but then this 12 shows up in FB Marketplace for like $300.

It sounds nice, for a 9 string. :D Gonna fix that tomorrow.

Cool. Thanks, TPA. I guess these must be going around, Randy. :P

Changing the strings, I can see a couple of little things that are not a problem for me, but I'd like any tips I have two issues I'd like to fix before replacing the strings. One is that the plastic ring around the sound hole is cracked and seems to be slightly lifting off the face of the guitar (very slightly) when I tap it with my finger. And another is that the third tuner from the top. String 9 I guess. It looks like it should work, but the nut on it spins and does not seem to tighten. The entire tuner seems to be well connected and does not feel like it will come out.

The top half of the plastic ring does slightly move with a gentle tug... so it seems like 1/3 to one 1/2 of the top of that ring is slightly loose. Thinking it would not be hard to lift it and squirt a bit of glue between the ring and the wood. Google AI is saying that super glue is fine for this.

Meh. Decided to push that off to later... I just really want to play it.... so put some strings on and it really does sound fantastic. I'm super happy with it. I'll plan to take a look at the two little issues with it the next time I change the strings. :P

Its still not quite settled, but I did a live stream yesterday and had a lot of fun with it. She's a keeper for sure.

Not sure if I can share, but I'll try to. Looks like it works. Sorry for my lousy playing, but I'm just a chord banger. :P Also, I just thought, there is a curse word in my mp3, so if it's against the rules, I can remove.
