First...

Want to apologize for my absence... Had some things personally going down in life and finally hope its all behind....

For those who have been trying to contact me... try again and i promise to try to get back to you :)

ok...

Walked into a sam ash,,,found i believe to be an early 90's celeb... wood grain finish. Looked inside it read sam ash limited edition. Noone there could tell me really anything about it...
They had a price of 549.00

serial number
1861 7BCL 522 084

is this a steal of a deal... or something to pass it on.

It played like butter  very sweet sound...i plugged it into a california blonde combo and that baby sang.

Great to be back.

Hi. Welcome back!! Are you sure its a Celebrity?? 1861 is a Standard Balladeer, maybe its actually a USA model. Does the label actually say 'Celebrity'? does it look a little like these? If its a USA 1861 Standard Balladeer, it sounds like a pretty good price. Since it's been hanging there a long time, you might even be able to talk them down a little.

yes... looks like the bottom pic...

was there a limited edition of that model?

I thought it was an 1861...it did hava a limited edition tag on the inside.

It sounded great... a few dings but nothing major... and it played awesome with and without an amp.

Thanks for the pics and info...

Could 7BCL be Bear Claw Spruce? Oh and that serial number would put it at 1997 vintage.

Thanks guys...

Well John Bundy got back to in no time. He is awesome!!! Give that guy a raise... his response and call to customer service is exactly what it should and how it should be... Thank you so much John.

Here is the run down... Standard Balladeer with The Bear claw spruce and a 97.

you guys nailed it.
He informed me only a few hundred were made...so they are rare...and it listed for about 1200.00 - 1900..new.
