Location: u.k. | I have an Ovation Country Artist that i purchased around 1981, its a guitar that i never really played and have just rediscovered it after many years.
A couple of questions.....
Which make of strings would you suggest work well on these guitars, are there any upgrades for the preamp in this guitar, either commercial or diy(when i record solo fingerstyle guitar into my DAW the preamp does generate a certain amount of hiss) .... Can you fit one of the knee tree stands to the guitar to help stop the guitar rolling off your knee...?
By the way hi there from the u.k.

Nobody responded and I'm not qualified. I just use D'Addarios, but do a search if you can for nylon strings. We had a knowledgable member here who made recommendations a couple years ago. |
