| In AD525 (give or take) the Roman Church amended the calendar and moved Jesus' birthday back 8 years and the Gregorian Calendar, the basis of our calendar, was born.
In Ethiopia they read the news and ignored it.
The result is that in Ethiopia tonight is the turn of the Millenium and a massive nationwide party is going down. Addis Ababa will be rocking.
I can't give you a start time because they start their clocks each day at sunrise, so 7am there is the equivalent of around 1pm by any other system.
