Been looking at the Ovation Tribute Site's Ovation Decoder and I must be missing something.  I cannot for the life of me, find a Super Shallow Body Custom Legend 12-String.  Did Ovation never make one?  If they did, does anyone know the Model Number?

Thanks.

David to the best of my knowledge there was never a production shallow/SSB Custom Legend 12 string made, there were some custom shop Custom Legends made for red blanket guitars and I think he had a couple SSB 12 strings made should have been a Custom Legend 1859LX 12 string,I know a guy on facebook who custom ordered a SSB Custom Legend 12,so production wise the closest you'd get is the 86 collectors legend style SSB 12 string.hope this helps

Thank you.  That's what I was afraid of.  I found a 12 string Legend that's a -1 and matches my 1869 6 string.  I may have to go with that.  Thanks again.

Are you looking for a sunburst or a cutaway SSB,I'm sure ideally both but there was a custom legend 6759 that was a cutaway mid bowl if you've got your heart set on CLs otherwise the Legend 1866 SSB should be a pretty good guitar.

I have an 1869-1 Sunburst SSB Custom Legend.  I'm looking to match it with a 12 string.  I think I'll go with an available Legend I see on Reberb.

Hello, Everyone,
ICYMI, there was also a 1985 Collector's Series SSB 12-String offered as an option, along with the 6-String version, a year before the 1986 Collector's Series as well. I hope this helps.

I saw that Legend on Reveb and Ebay check Ebay completed listings he tried auctioning it once so you could probably offer less its a lttle pricey IMHO.

If you want a "Custom" Legend SSB sunburst 12 string theres one thats expensive and kinda fugly in my opinion but it is a SSB-1 12 string,if you've got lots of money and want to have it modded it could be cool

Good luck ,Kevin.

Thanks for the info, I'll check eBay.  I saw that CL, and I hate that style of rossette.  I like the fuller one.

I did check and I contacted him and he came down in price enough for me to buy it.  To make room, I'm interested in selling my 1958-4 12 String, but I'm stuck for a price.  It does have a couple of the dreaded "surface cracks" but it still sounds like a cannon.  Any ideas on a price?

Congrats on the new guitar,do you play plugged in alot, those SSB's are said to be excellent stage guitars.

Is it a 1958-4 or 1658-4 i've never heard of a 1958 12 string model. If you go to sold listings on reverb you can filter them and check prices, condition depending I'd say $1000-$1500 start a little high so you have room to come down I'd suggest.

I don't play plugged in much.  But when I want to, I want to, so I always look for the acoustic/electric models.  They actually sound pretty good unplugged.

Fat fingers.  It's a 1658-4.  Thanks for the info on price.
