For sale - 1978-2017 Ovation Legend, mocdl 1117-4. This guitar has an interesting story. I got it in 1979 knowing it looked cool and discovering that it sound horrible (seriously - very plastic dead sound). Traded it with cash for my 1537 in 1993 and bought it back when my wife cried (I had seranaded her with it). In 2009 I sent it back to the factory where they put on an A braced beautiful top along with the 5 point bridge (love the look!). Sounded much better but I never bonded with it. Finally, in early 2017, Dan Savage replaced the top with a torrefied adirondack spruce top. Much closer to what I was looking for but for some reason, I still never bonded with the guitar. A few months ago I bought an 83 1117 that's even closer to what I heard in my head and I'm going to stop looking.
So this guitar is a 1978 neck on a 2009 body (hand laid fiberglass) with a 2009 5 point rosewood bridge) and a 2017 torrefied addy A braced top. It's in great condistion. $750 and we can split shipping costs (48 lower states only). Includes a really good original hardshell case (I'd like to keep the case but it goes with the guitar).

A beauty. Good luck with the sale, Paul, but interesting marketing technique posting a "for sale" item in the General Posting arena, you trailblazer you...
